  8. Alabama, had trouble believing it when a 
  9. short, chubby boy named Charles Wade
  10. Barkley predicted that he would make it to 
  11. the NBA.

  13. Not only did CharlesΓÇÖs friends laugh at him, 
  14. but his high school coach told him that the 
  15. only way he would make the varsity team was
  16. if he grew taller. Between his sophomore 
  17. and senior seasons, Charles sprouted 
  18. from 5' 10" to 6' 6" tall! During that time, 
  19. he moved from guard to center for the 
  20.
